Welcome In
A space for the beautifully distracted. For the ones who feel too much, think in spirals, and crave clarity that doesn’t flatten their magic.

Caroline Shea
Founder & Creative Director of The Distracted Diaries
I’m Caroline Shea—founder of The Distracted Diaries, and someone who’s spent years struggling to find systems that could hold my scattered mind with care. This space was born from that search. I think in spirals, feel in layers, and build from a place of emotional urgency—not because I had the answers, but because I needed them. What you see here is the result of trial, tenderness, and a refusal to flatten complexity. I believe in clarity that comforts, infrastructure that listens, and branding that feels like a warm welcome. If you’ve ever felt too much or thought in ways that didn’t fit the mold, you’re not alone—and you’re not wrong.
How it began…
It started with frustration. With trying to make sense of systems that didn’t know how to hold a scattered mind. With feeling like every tool, every template, every “best practice” was built for someone else—someone more linear, more filtered, less… me.
So I stopped trying to fit, and started building something that could hold me as I am.
The Distracted Diaries didn’t come from expertise. It came from emotional necessity. From needing a space where clarity didn’t mean erasure. Where infrastructure could feel like care. Where scattered thoughts weren’t something to fix—they were something to honor.
This is that space. Built slowly, imperfectly, and with every messy, beautiful part of me in mind.
The Heart of It
Our Mission
The Distracted Diaries exists to amplify the voices of women with ADHD—those who’ve felt misunderstood, mislabeled, or simply unheard. Through candid conversations, expert insights, and a healthy dose of humor, this podcast is a space where neurodivergent minds can feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
We’re here to educate, empower, and entertain—breaking down the myths, sharing the mess, and embracing the magic of living with ADHD. No monotone lectures, no shame spirals—just real talk, real stories, and a reminder that distraction doesn’t mean disconnection. It means you’re human. And you belong here.
What We Believe
We believe clarity should comfort, not correct.
That systems should listen, not demand.
That scattered thoughts are sacred.
That emotional safety is infrastructure.
That storytelling is survival.
That branding can feel like a warm welcome.
That even footers can say: you belong here.
That inboxes shouldn’t punish.
That beauty doesn’t need polish.
That legacy is built slowly, with care.
What’s Unfolding Next
This space is still becoming.
There are ideas in motion—courses, community spaces, collaborations that feel like cozy conversations. There’s a podcast that keeps evolving, a website that’s learning how to hold scattered minds, and a quiet hope that this will become more than a brand. Maybe a sanctuary. Maybe a movement.
Nothing here is rushed.
Everything is built with care.
If you’re curious, stay close.
If you’re scattered, you’re already home.
